After work today I walked out on the Carty Unit for a quick 20 minutes, oops, make that about 2 hours.? Not much on the area south of the Plankhouse although ha d American Kestrel hunting right in front of the office.? Again not a lot of activity until I reached the big oak tree at the end of the NaturePave trail.? I realized this is where the conifers start, and the combination of oak-maple-D fir-cedar was quite busy with warblers.? Within 100 yards of the trail split I saw the following during about an hour watching:

After all the tanagers yesterday I didn't find even one on the trail, although there was one at home, and 2 Nashville Warblers.

A reminder that IMBD is Saturday , and Ron Escano is leading bird walks on Kiwa Trail at 8 am and Oaks-to-Wetlands Trail at 3 pm.
