I don't know why all of a sudden I seem to be having ID problems but migration time must bring out the strangers. Would any of you interested check out the latest posting to my web site (http://www.flickr.com/photos/37079820 at N07/) and tell me if this is really a 1st year female Rose-breasted Grosbeak that was trying to get into my caged feeder but was too big and ended up feeding on the ground this afternoon around 5pm in Port Townsend. Never having seen one around here before, I'm having doubts but the white face markings, big bill and yellow on the back seem to indicate it. Thoughts?
