Dear Tweeters,

Thanks to all the folks who counted birds on today's North American Migration Count. I look forward to hearing from the teams and finding out what they found on Skagit County's effort today (5-14-2011).

Josh Parrott and Dick Abbott phoned me, as I was driving up the twisty, turny Sauk Mountain Road, to tell me they'd just seen eight AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS near March Point. I almost wrecked the car!

The pelicans were flyovers, close enough to show the projecting thingamajig on the bills. WOW! Wish I'd assigned myself that area...
