Greetings, all,
This morning on rainy Foster Island and nearby bits were lots of
migrants, including:
about four WESTERN WOOD-PEWEEs
about seven-plus WARBLING VIREOs
CASSIN'S VIREO (heard)
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER
lots of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs, many (mostly?) myrtle
YELLOW WARBLER
BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER
WILSON'S WARBLER
more WESTERN TANAGERs than I think I've ever seen in one day (a few
dozen), usually multiples in sight
also:
GREEN HERON
VIRGINIA RAIL (heard)
COOPER'S HAWK
OSPREY
a couple of BALD EAGLEs fighting after one failed to catch a water bird
and floated on the lake.
a color-banded crow.
