Hi All: Good new for birders, bad for salmoners, from the Bird Research NW weekly updates:
5/3/11 ?Count of 49 American white pelicans on Miller Sands Spit, 22 of which appeared to be attending nests; 2010 was the first year that American white pelicans were recorded nesting in the Columbia River estuary.
Miller Sands is on the Oregon side of the state line about 9.5 mi NE of Astoria, OR.
