hi all ... photographed a gorgeous male Pileated Woodpecker yesterday
at Ridgefield NWR ... when I got home and looked at the pix I noticed
he was rather oddly colored ... here's a link to a pix ... any ideas
why he has brown in him ??? ... a young male transitioning between
immature to mature ??? ...
