Last week Yellow-rumped warblers were the main numbers of migrants here in my North Everett yard. Yesterday morning (5/16) a wavelet of birds came through that were Wilson's and Orange-crown Warblers mostly, plus a pretty pair of Warbling Vireos, and a single singing Western Tanager. It was a bird busy morning.

Today a fine sunny morning and bird quiet - but wait! - a different song: a beautifull pair of Yellow Warblers ! just outside the office window. While reasonably adept at birding by ear it seems like I have to relearn the warblers every year, except the obvious ones. Mystery is great, even in re-run form.
