Hi everyone.

Here is the latest article that has been published. My article was bumped for a whole week because the Shoreline High Schools
are doing so well in various athletic competitions. Somehow the editor thinks sports results are more timely than an article
written about local birds...sigh.
I want to thank Ron Green, Michael Hobbs, and Randy for the use of their pictures.

Here is the link that will work today http://www.shorelineareanews.com/2011/05/for-birds-sharp-shinned-hawk.html?.

If you go to it later on, you'll need to search "For the Birds" in http://www.shorelineareanews.com

Next article, already written, is on Cooper's Hawks. Then I'm going to cover yellow birds (or birds with yellow)--probably Western Tanagers[WETA] first, or maybe Black-headed Grosbeaks[BHGR], and then our state bird. I have great pictures of BHGR and American Goldfinch, but I am a little shy on good on WETA pictures, if anyone is interested in sharing.

Thanks again,

Christine Southwick
