Tweets - we have a 5' long artificial stream that flows into a 5'x8' pond in
our front yard.

Yesterday, a male WESTERN TANAGER showed up for a drink, followed minutes
later by a NASHVILLE WARBLER.

Today, the juvenile DARK-EYED JUNCOS (from nests in our yard) have been in
the stream all afternoon. But they've not been alone.

First, a GREAT BLUE HERON came over to check things out. Then a female
WESTERN TANAGER showed up, followed by a female ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD (or
juvenile, I suppose).

And just now, a WARBLING VIREO came down for a bath.

The pond just acts as a reservoir for the creek, and is way bigger than
needed (although it does make the Mallards happy). The stream, though,
really brings in the birds. Over the last 30 hours, or so, I've seen a
dozen species in the creek.
