Hello all,
Finally - after once-a-year-sightings for the last 5 years Lesser Goldfinches were found at two spots along Biscuit Ridge east of Walla Walla - 2 at Tom Lamb's Hummingbird spot and another 2 were spotted down the road by a group from Tricities that also found our first Green-tailed Towhee of the year (Thanks Rich and Chad). LEGO have been seen regularly in Whitman and Asotin Counties and a a big flock was at Lyons Ferry park in Franklin County - but have been hard to find in WWCo.

Other additions to our county year list which is now at 202:
Mountain Bluebird and Red-naped Sapsucker - they've been here awhile but we hadn't been up to see them -
Dusky Flycatcher and Cassin's Vireo - also up Jasper Mountain (but NO finches, thrushes, very few birds)
Eastern Kingbird at Bennington Lake

A Lazuli X Indigo Bunting spent 3 days in our yard this week - photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/m-ml_wallawalla/

Later, MerryLynn
