Yesterday, Larry Moss and I birded various locations within Whatcom
County. The weather was overcast and raining lightly throughout the
morning hours but by the afternoon the rain had halted. What I really
enjoyed about this outing was that we stopped at a few sites that were
new to me such as Homestead Eagle Park in Deming and the small town of
Wickersham. Homestead Eagle Park was one of our best stops of the day
and was hopping with a variety of warbler species including a
NASHVILLE WARBLER. A few highlights of the trip included:

AMERICAN BITTERN - heard at Wickersham
VIRGINIA RAIL - Wickersham
BLACK OYSTERCATCHER - Blaine Marine Park
WHIMBREL - Blaine
EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE - Birch Bay
CHIPPING SPARROW - Birch Bay
MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER - Homestead Eagle Park
NASHVILLE WARBLER - Homestead Eagle Park
HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER - Canyon Creek Road

Cheers and Good Birding;
