Hello Tweets,

I was excited this morning to see my first-ever-in-Lincoln-Park Black-throated Gray Warbler. What a dramatic bird - really stood out among the new green leaves, which was a nice change given that those other yellowish warblers somehow blend right into the background of sunlit fresh leaves.

Yesterday a group of Northern Flickers was chattering loudly at the top of a cedar in the park, but it was only when I got home and opened the photos that I could see them displaying glorious orange and red feathers; they looked almost tropical in their brilliance. I also finally got a pretty good photo yesterday of a Golden-crowned Warbler, and today of the Rufous Hummingbird who's regularly been doing his morning calisthenics in a nicely backlit location in Lincoln Park.
