Here in Federal Way I heard my first Swainson's Thursh single note call in my yard adjacent to Dash Point State Park on Monday ( 23rd ) evening. Olive-sided Flycatcher, Western Tanager are singing here this week as well. Black-headed Grosbeaks arrived last week here.
Finally the songs of Summer return to my yard,

Like Dan, we just heard our first Swainson's Thrush (the rising call) last
evening here in Skagit County (48 deg. 31' 40" N. latitude). We had heard
the single call note two days before (21 May). We usually don't have them
singing here until the first or second week of June.
