Tuesday and Wednesday I?photographed flyovers of the heron rookery located ?at
the south side of the Edmonds marsh by bald eagles and their accompanying
crow-tourages.?? Tuesday's?eagle?looked like one of the?Pt. Edwards adult pair
while Wednesday's was a juvie or sub-adult.

In both cases the eagle?perched on?a tree?near the nests after?its initial
flyover while the herons flew up from the?nests?and circled the area.?
It?appears two nests are active but without hatchlings?as the eagles looked to
have come away empty-taloned.
