I was out birding at Nisqually while waiting for my brother this afternoon. I was hoping to get the Yellow-headed Blackbirds that have been seen at Nisqually At first missed the blackbirds but eventually found three. But the best birds of the day were a pair of Black Terns. I first saw them on the ponds out by the new dike trail. They then flew down towards the ponds nearer the visitor center. I was able to watch them on and off for over an hour.
