Subject: [Tweeters] No finches allowed

Yesterday a house finch landed on the feeder and was immediately set upon by
a Chestnut-backed chickadee who flew right at the bigger birds head from
above, knocking it off the feeder and driving it all the way to the ground!
The chickadee bounced up to the feeder, grabbed a couple of seeds as the
finch flew up and perched nearby. The chickadee left the feeder, flew up and
the finch tried again to get to the feeder, this time it was attacked before
it even got there, once again from above from the smaller bird. The Finch
made a third try, and this TWO chickadees went at its head and it went
elsewhere to find breakfast. A bit later, a finch tried again, only to be
rejected by the chickadee feeder guardian. I was tempted to hang a sign that
said, no finches allowed....
