The Vermilion Flycatcher couldn't be found an hour earlier (3:45-4:15) at Ridgefield NWR, but at 5 pm at sign post 11 it was there flycatching for at least 15 mins. The first time around the loop there was a screaming Red-shouldered Hawk right before getting to the Vermilion's area, which may have caused it to hang low. Other birds seen were 2 Cinnamon Teal, 1 Great Egret, 1 Herring Gull, 1 Great Horned Owl, 1 Snipe.
