Hey Tweets,
I surveyed Dash Point State park today as part of the PSSS.
Adam and I found 2 Marbled Murrelets and 2 ANCIENT MURRELETS. To round out the alcids, we also saw many Rhino Auklets, some Common Murres, and a few Pigeon Guillimots.
I then went around then corner to Dumas Bay, where I saw another 6 ANCIENT MURRELETS.
Feeling lucky, I then went out to the Dash Point Pier, trying for them in Pierce county.
One Marbled Murrelet right off the pier, and one Ancient Murrelet about mid-channel.
Viewing conditions were ideal today for the Murrelets. Bathtub calm, with good lighting ...
