Hello Tweeters,

I have had the pleasure of observing White-tailed Ptarmigan (female, male, young) for each of the past three years. Behaviors include browsing , roosting and dust bathing. If you are familiar with plants that are food sources for White-tailed Ptarmigan, or flora at the the 5000- 8500 foot elevation in Cascades, including Mount Rainier, Washington, please contact me. I will send photos of these great high elevation birds feeding for your evaluation. I would like to better understand their behaviors, including preferred food sources.

Thanks,
Dan Reiff
