Hi All,

On Friday I birded the Neah Bay area under calm and sunny conditions. Is
this truly November? Highlights included one TROPICAL KINGBIRD near the
mouth of the Sooes River and another in the residential area of Neah Bay
across from Dakwas playground. While photographing the kingbird in the
residential area, a very out-of-season imm. male BULLOCK'S ORIOLE
revealed itself to my surprise. The oriole then became my photographic
subject for a brief moment.

A Black-legged Kittiwake joined in the gull flock at the stream inlet on
the west end of the bay. I too was unable to find the Clay-colored
Sparrow and I was not able to re-locate the Cattle Egret along the
Waatch River. Thanks Nigel for your fall reports of interesting birds,
giving me the incentive to go out and check-out Neah Bay.

Cheers and good birding,
