YES !

Randy and I headed south to chase all these tasty birds being seen.
We started at Woodland for the Rusty Blackbird. But it was not seen in the morning. Michael Fleming stopped by with a report about seeing the flycatcher, So we dashed up to Ridgefield. As we pulled up to stop 11,the Vermillion Flycatcher was right next to the road, active feeding. Sweet!

We then headed to Vancouver lake, the pond south and east of the flushing channel, we had 72 Great Egret, about 20 Great Blue Herons, 50 common merganser, about 15 Hooded Merganser, a Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Greater Yellowlegs, Mew gulls, a Bonapartes gull, and several Ring-billed gulls.
We did not find much unusual at the flushing channel. Another RB Merganser and a small group of Ruddy Ducks ...

Back up to Woodland for another shot at the blackbird. Marv Breece spotted the RUSTY BLACKBIRD shortly after we drove up. We got great views.

We then headed to Willow Grove. Towards the far end, Randy spotted a WHITE-TAILED KITE at the top of a snag. Farther on, towards the end, we found the adult RED-SHOULDERED HAWK.

Beautiful weather and many great birds. It was a good day !

PS it says something interesting about this hobby, when we can drive up to a steaming manure pile, on a remote seldom traveled road, and there are several cars already pulled over there. AND that I know about half the people parked there. And many of those that pull up while we are there!
I am not sure exactly WHAT it says, but it IS interesting. ;)
