I happened to be in Mukilteo this morning (11-12-11) and enjoyed
watching several large drifts of Surf Scoters, probably around 400
total. There were also 120 Barrow's Goldeneyes, about a 50-50 mix of
hens and drakes. While this does not constitute a noteworthy record by
any means, it was still nice to feast my eyes on so many goldeneyes.
There were a few Bonaparte's Gulls and a couple of Rhinoceros Auklets,
too.
