Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday November 17. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

Although elusive the Ridgefield NWR VERMILION FLYCATCHER continues to be
seen. A RUSTY BLACKBIRD was seen during the week in Woodland Bottoms near
Woodland, WA. A female RUSTY BLACKBIRD was reported November 13 along Elkins
Road SW of Monmouth. A female INDIGO BUNTING, a HARRIS?S SPARROW, and a PALM
WARBLER are now being seen at a feeder along Fenk Road near Tillamook. A
DICKCISSEL, two CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS, a YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD were at
Cape Blanco during the week.

TROPICAL KINGBIRDS were seen during the week at Yachats, Nehalem State Park,
and two at the Hatfield Marine Science Center. On November 16 a SNOWY OWL
was found dead at the Portland Airport. A few are now being reported along
the Washington Coast.

On November 12 a SWAINSON?S HAWK was seen south of Nestucca Bay. The next
day a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was in the same area. At Seaside November 16 were
a FRANKLIN?S GULL, three BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES, and 14 BROWN PELICANS. At
the South Jetty of the Columbia River November 10 were a NORTHERN SHRIKE,
PALM WARBLER, and five SNOW BUNTINGS. A ROSS?S GOOSE is now along Wireless
Road near Astoria. On November 13 a LAPLAND LONGSPUR was on Svenson Island
east of Astoria.

A SNOW BUNTING was along Livermore Road north of Baskett Slough NWR November
11. On November 13 and IBIS was at the narrows in Baskett Slough. A SAY?S
PHOEBE was seen November 12 near the Eugene Airport.

On November 13 a SURF SCOTER and a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER were in KLAMATH
FALLS.
