I was able to easily locate the Tufted Duck at Bradley Lake Park this morning. This is the bird that Charlie Wright and Ryan Shaw found yesterday.
Directions: Take the 512 exit off of I 5 south of Tacoma. Heading east take the second exit to Puyallup which leads to the South Hill Mall. Get in left lane and turn on S. Meridian heading N. away from the main mall. Turn right on 31st street. Go just a few blocks and turn left on 7th street. The park will be on your right with plenty of parking. The lake is small so no problems finding the Tufted. It is with Ring-necked Ducks and American Wigeon. Other species include Gadwall, Mallard, Hooded Merganser, Cackling Geese, Canada Geese, 1 White-fronted Goose and a few other birds.
