Tweeters, Several of us watched the Snowy Owl late this afternoon from the end of Thomle Rd around 415pm. It was just above the dike in the distance to the south of the road on a stump. Moving several times while we watched. Also at least 3 Short-eared Owls were observed, 3 N. Harriers, 2 RT Hawks and 2 Bald Eagles over the same field. Dozens of W. Meadowlarks were also evident. At the Black Phoebe site, I was happy others were able to relocate it yesterday and this morning. We had company over the weekend and I was only able to make 2 unsuccessful 5 minute attempts for it at around 11am and 330pm. However I did note several Meadowlarks, 1 Merlin, 1 Northern Shrike, Ring-necked Duck and Common Goldeneye in the area/pond. Michael WillisonStanwoodsendtomichael at hotmail.com
