Dear Tweets,

I found an injured Steller Jay that a cat had cornered and was toying
with. The Jay is eating now and after two days, hops around a little.
Initially, he refused to fly after being attacked and just sat there,
infrequently throwing back his head and feigning death or fainting.
The Jay
did this for a few hours after I found him and caged him.

Since this is the first day that I've seen him eat, when do you think
he will be okay to set free again?
I don't know if he can fly, but his wings appear undamaged. Maybe he
was just in shock and refused to fly after the attack?
