I would strongly agree about the Martyn Stewart sound class in spring. It
really is well worth your time if you have a genuine interest in this
field.

He teaches it with the help of Curt Black and Mark Oberle, both totally
dedicated to sound recording too. I have learned alot from these guys.

Martyn is an amazing person and has been a pro soundman for many decades
working primarily with the BBC.

Many of the bird songs in the recent movie, The Big Day, were recorded by
him.

Plus, if I may say so, he is just a really interesting, gifted human being
(and quite hilarious).

Check out his website (www.naturesound.org). It is so nice to hear his
Swainson's Thrush recordings as we start the winter.
