Dear Tweeters,
I'm not sure how out-of-place this is, but I currently have an adult
male Yellow-shafted Flicker (black malar stripe, red nape, and uh,
yellow feather shafts) in my yard here north of Ellensburg. The bird
looks like a good "pure" bird and, I know it's not "countable", but
this seems pretty far from the typical Yellow-shafted haunts. Any
thoughts?

Cheers,
