Tweeters, Late afternoon I observed what is likely a Snowy Owl on Camano Island. My scope is out for service and the distance to the "owl" from me was just out of comfortable binocular distance for a certain ID. If driving west on SR 532 onto Camano Is., turn left about 1.75 miles after crossing into Island Co., on Fox Trot Way. Follow it to the end (1,000 ft) where you are looking at Livingstone Bay, and park. Standing on the beach looking west, the "owl" was approx. 3,000 ft due west sitting on a log with head and about 1/3 the body exposed. I did not see the Black Phoebe in Stanwood around 1pm however a Snowy Owl was still visible from the end of Eide Rd. looking east towards Thomle. Michael WillisonStanwood
