Birders,

The NORTHERN HAWK-OWL reported on the Vancouver RBA for November 19 on the
west dyke of Lulu Island (Richmond) turns out to have been incorrectly
identified (photos were later submitted by the observer)-- it was in fact a
SHORT-EARED OWL.

In other news, the male PAINTED BUNTING in West Vancouver was still coming
frequently to the feeder as of today, November 21, but is seen more
frequently in the morning. Persons wishing to see this bird are requested to
phone the property owner, Ann Niewerth, at 604-925-1690 to arrange a visit.

A brief account of 31 of the best birding locations in the Vancouver area

Thank you for calling the Vancouver Rare Bird Alert, and good birding.
