Sharon and I drove to the lake, arriving at 1:00 PM, and looked for the tufted duck, but did not locate it among the wigeon, hooded mergansers, mallards, ring-necked ducks and lesser scaup. We scanned the lake carefully, and a kind park employee even let me drive along the paved trail to give my wife a chance to find it without getting out the wheel chair and getting soaked in the heavy rain.
