In the south Puget Sound region, the most reliable place to see Wild Turkeys
used to be along Johnson Creek Road just north of its intersection with the
Skookumchuck Road (148th?). I've seen them on the nearby Vail Tree Farm on a
couple of occasions. I haven't seen any in Thurston County for at least 5
years but that's mostly because the odds of seeing them are pretty slim when
you're in a bureaucratic high rise staring at a cathode ray tube (or
whatever the modern equivalent is) most days.
