Persistence paid off! Finally sighted a White-tailed Kite in the Willow
Grove area of Longview. After three weeks of searching once or twice a day
for probably 5 days a week I got about a 20 second look of one soaring on
the river side of the loop before it passed back of some trees, out of sight
and not to be seen again. Another half hour in the area failed to
relocate it.

The Red-shouldered Hawk was seen again. This time a little further toward
the end of the loop on opposite side of the road from the river on the
river side of the loop,
