Hello All,

MerryLynn and I went birding today in the wind. Lots of chop on the Columbia River and large numbers of gulls in the Lower Columbia Basin. Birds of interest seen today.

Bonapartes Gull-2, One on the blood ponds, one on Casey Pond
Western Gull- one adult on the Poop Piles along HWY 12
Mew Gull-one on the Snake River below Ice Harbor Dam.
Herring Gull-54 on the Poop Piles
Thayers Gull-1 ad. on the Poop Piles
Glaucous-Winged Gull-5 on the Poop Piles
California Gull-40 on the Poop Piles
Ring-billed Gulls-400+ on the Poop Piles, 200+ below Ice Harbor Dam

5000 unidentified gulls over the Tyson Slaughter Plant.

Pectoral Sandpiper-1 bird at the Blood Ponds
Least Sandpiper-2 birds at the Blood Ponds
Killdeer-13 birds at the Blood Ponds
Greater Yellowlegs-1 at the Mile Post 300 ponds along HWY 12
Dunlin-36 birds on the WWRdelta

Pacific Loon-1 below Ice Harbor Dam, in Franklin Co.

Merlin-1 ad. -over the Poop Piles
Bald Eagle-1 ad. on the WWRdelta, I sub-ad. on the Poop Piles
Coopers Hawk-1 ad. near the WWRdelta
