Bill Ferensen and all Tweets,

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, each morning about the time the crows
usually make their way back into and over my neighborhood, North
Matthews Beach, around 7:30 I guess, I heard an extraordinarily loud
and persisent crow ruckus, about the volume and duration (5 min. or
so) of that I hear when there is a nearby Bald Eagle or Red-tailed
Hawk or Barred Owl. My immediate thought was: It's a Snowy! However
I remained in the house and thought I'd try to be dressed and ready on
future mornings if and when it should happen again. This morning,
nada! BUT, since I live almost due east of that neighborhood Bill
mentioned (I believe it's Maple Leaf and not Wedgwood, but I'm not
certain...), near Magnuson Park and Matthews Beach, I expect someone
around here is going to see a roosting Snowy in the daytime. I can
hardly wait. I'm almost ready to abort today's trip to Stanwood and
the Skamish, but, no, that stays on my schedule.

Time to look for white bumps on the horizon in town.

Thanks for the alert, Bill.
