Russ and others,

Are any of the Snowy Owls at Damon Point visible from the base of the point
(i.e. from the vicinity of the Silver King), or does one have to hike all
the way out there to see them? I'm contemplating a trip down there soon to
look for Snowy Owls and other species (still haven't seen the famous "Queen
Eider"), and just wondering how much time I need to budget for Damon Point.

Please post any response to Tweeters, so everyone will be informed, and
thanks for the details!

Hi Tweeters,

This morning (11/29/11) I found 7 SNOWY OWLS at Ocean Shores on Damon Point
between the far end of the pond and the tip.

I found nothing noteworthy near the Ocean Shores sewage plant.

The Long-tailed Duck at the Hoquim sewage ponds eluded me, but I did find
CANVASBACK, REDHEAD, and EARED GREBE there.
