(I just found out from the schedule that the Vashon count is one day before our Kent-Auburn count. I may be forced to check for a few Western Screech-Owls in Burien on New Years eve day, since the Vashon count includes a bit of the Burien area. (Yeah, our Kent-Auburn count is the next day, New Years Day, and we could use a few more birders this year because of that. Check the schedule and call our CBC chair Nancy Streiffert.)
