Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

A BRAMBLING is now being seen in Scappoose Bottoms along the Crown
Zellerbach trail and Scappoose Sewage Ponds. A MCKAY?S BUNTING was
photographed November 25 at Seven Devils Wayside north of Bandon. It has not
been relocated.

Large flocks of PINE SISKINS are now in Western Oregon. SNOWY OWLS were
reported during the week in the Riverview Cemetery in southwest Portland, at
Umatilla NWR near Boardman, and along Hwy 78 east of Burns.

A probable LEAST FLYCATCHER was seen November 29 in Rockaway. A TREE SPARROW
was near Flores Lake November 29. A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was at an Astoria
feeder November 26.

On November25 a flock of TRUMPETER SWANS, a TURKEY VULTURE, and 910 SANDHILL
CRANES were on Sauvie Island. The next day a CATTLE EGRET was at Coon Point
on the Island. A flock of 74 WESTERN GREBES and a SNOW BUNTING were at
Broughton Beach near the Portland Airport during the week. One or more
LONG-TAILED DUCKS are now at Smith/Bybee Lakes in North Portland. On
November 26, a flock of 15 ARCTIC TERNS were seen there. A late WESTERN
TANAGER was in SE Portland November 26. A REDPOLL was heard calling from a
SISKIN flock at Riverview Cemetery November 29. A BROWN PELICAN was at the
Fernhill Wetlands November 28. On November 23 an EMPEROR GOOSE was in a
goose flock near Lafayette.

On November 26 a GYRFALCON was at Umatilla NWR. A WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was on
Tumalo Reservoir near Bend November 27. COMMON REDPOLLS, BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS,
and PINE GROSBEAKS were in the Wallowa Valley during the week. On November
25 a BOREAL OWL was calling north of Tollgate.
