hi all ... spent a few hours at Vancouver Lake this morning hoping
the 3 Common Terns and/or the Caspian Tern would appear (as mentioned
by Ken Knittle and Tom Mansfield yesterday) ... no luck on Terns ...
at least 50 other gulls or more there however --- at the lake on the
beach and floating log booms ... of the ones I could ID they were
Ring-billed and California Gulls ... ended up coming home as the rain
got heavier ...

did run (almost literally as a pair were crossing the road as I came
around a turn) into Ring-necked Pheasants !!! ... hunting season must
be starting and F&W (???) probably has done a release of the
Pheasants already ... one nice looking male held up traffic while
standing in the middle of the road trying to decide where to go ...

anyways, here's my find for the day ... didn't bother with Tweeties
... I did sit for about 15 minutes in a favorite Sparrow/Junco spot
at Van Lake, but no sparrows yet ...
