The RUFF was spotted tis aftrernoon between 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. foraging with BBPLs. There were a few DUNL and some GRYE. As the tide came in the shorebirds all flew east to another set of shallow ponds inside the dike but closer to the Nisqually River. The RUFF was not positively located at the second location. There were numerous LBDO at the second location and a shorebird slimmer than the BBPL with a longer beak but the throat and breast did not appear to be as buffy as the RUFF. The topography precluded good views of that bird.
