Tweeters,

More of a pre-dawn flight than a night flight, the following flew over my
Battle Ground, Clark County yard between 5:45-7 this morning:

Varied Thrush 21*
Hermit Thrush 1
Swainson's Thrush 3
*Zonotrichia* 1
Song Sparrow 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 1
misc chips 8

* I've only had Varied Thrush as a nocturnal migrant twice before and both
were single birds.

Diurnal flight from 7:30-9 (no particular order):

Varied Thrush 10
Purple Finch 5
American Robin 127 (season high)
Yellow-rumped Warbler 29
Orange-crowned Warbler 2
Black-throated Gray Warbler 1
Cedar Waxwing 93
Wilson's Snipe 1
Evening Grosbeak 20
Pine Siskin 12
American Pipit 5

The winter Cackling Goose flock is in with about 670 in the area.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward.

Jim
