hey everyone,

i thought i'd share a story i wrote about gray jays. these small
corvids are cuter'n a bug's ear, and they nest in the dead of winter
in the rocky mountains (among other cold and snowy places)! this story
has a lot of cute photos of these birds, along with my "translation"
of a really cool research paper about the relationship between these
birds and the sorts of trees found in their preferred habitats:

this story shows you how the relationships between birds (and other
animals) and their habitats are MUCH more subtle and complex than you
might initially think!

cheers,
