Tweeters, In an attempt to cheer myself up today, I finally made the trip to look for the Black-tailed Gull. I arrived at an overlook at approximately 10:30am and scoped until 11:30am. A large number of Harbor Seals were hogging a portion of the log boom when I arrived and napped the entire time I was there. I also observed a large flock (about 50) of Bonaparte's Gulls arrive and land just inside of the boom. They are my favorite gull after Mew's. Black Turnstones ran amongst the seals and gulls. Alas, I never spotted the gull but I see that Adam saw it late this afternoon so it's still there. Cheers, Amy SchillingerRenton, WAschillingera at hotmail.com
