We watched a bunch of young cooper's hawks apparently just playing with each other at fort lowell park tucson.

No parents were around and the hawks kept battling like young kingbirds do. Dive bombing and chasing each other. We neved did see them go after any other birds.

I wonder if it was the same pair I saw flying circles together over Pt. Edwards and the marsh in August(?) while one of them was being strafed by a merlin. The railroad tracks make a nice flight corridor between Pt. Edwards and the pond opposite the tracks from the Shell Creek spit.
