Hello Tweeters,
As always yesterday was an other great day on our weekly Walk in
Nisqually. To mention few highlights are the 3 Peregrine Falcon. One birds
right in the Parking Lot catching a Dowitcher among of hundreds of Cackling
Geese, sitting high in this huge trees ripping for ever the feathers.Lots of
Shorebirds including the many Dunlin.
The surprise was the female Bobolink on the end of the Dike ,close to the
green Gate.
Our Group split up,some of us went on the Boardwalk who missed this
bird. There is a winter record in Washington in January on the Christmas
count in Sequim.
I put 3 photos of the Female Bobolik by Ronald Stoner and 2 photos by David
Richardson, who is a regular Volunteer at Nisqually. This was one of the days
counting all the birds. We had 28 birders yesterday participating in the
count.
Many birders was comming this week of the great report by Shep Thorp mention
the 9 Rapture from the previous week.

Cheers Ruth Sullivan,
