Subject: [Tweeters] BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER at Ocean Shores

Hello, early this afternoon I heard a
familiar call and soon located a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher foraging in the scotch broom
directly adjacent to the Ocean Shores marina's north side. The gnatcatcher was
loosely associating with a band of chickadees and the like and was usually quite
difficult to glimpse as it clambered about at 3-4 feet up. The best (only?) way to find this bird was to slowly walk
around the scotch broom thickets, while listening for its call. Though few and
far between, the calls were the only thing that allowed me to find and later
refind the little gem.
Thanks,
