We are birding in the Sequim area and found a LEWIS'S WOODPECKER along with
about two dozen Eurasian-collared Doves. It was sitting on a power pole on
the Jamestown RF near Graysmarsh Beach and flew a block or so to a couple
of apple trees on Serpentine RD. We were able to get a few pictures and was
still there when we left after about a half an hour. Nice end to our day
with the Great Egret at the head of Discovery Bay in a marshy area to the
south of HW 101 and the junction of HW 20.
