Hello, Tweeters,

Dow Lambert discovered a lovely Tropical Kingbird at 3 Crabs on
10/24/11, and the bird seems to be sticking around, seen again
through yesterday. The bird frequents power lines and trees in the
neighborhood of Helen's Pond, along 3 Crabs Road.

Mysteriously, the Fall Birds class from the Dungeness River Audubon
Center also spotted a Tropical Kingbird on Thursday, 10/27/11, at
Jamestown, about 2 miles from 3 Crabs as the kingbird flies. This
bird sat at the top of a tree at the corner of Jamestown Rd and
Serpentine Rd for a brief time, allowing good looks, then disappeared.

The two birds were viewed within two hours of each other on Thursday,
so it appears there are likely two Tropical Kingbirds in the area.
There was a Lewis's Woodpecker reported in Jamestown on Thursday as
well.

Dow's great pictures of the 3 Crabs bird can be found at http://
