Spent the morning birding Vantage. A fairly good morning totaling 63 species. Notables were:

2 immature Surf Scoter at the Ginkgo Boat Launch
1 Pacific Loon at the Ginkgo Boat Launch (mid-river)
1 adult White-throated Sparrow; Ginkgo Boat Launch
1 American tree sparrow; Ginkgo boat launch
1 Clark's grebe among a couple of westerns above the railroad bridge on Huntzinger Rd.
1 AmericanXEurasian Wigeon hybrid-male; Getty's Cove. Head is a mixture of American and Eurasian. Flanks are mostly American and back is mostly Eurasian.
12 Common Loon; Wanapum Dam
Decent mixture of gulls though nothing rare below Wanapum Dam: Herring Gull, Glaucous-winged Gull and Ring-billed Gull
Typical massive flocks of ducks in the Columbia River including over a thousand Scaup. Mostly mid-river/grant county side. If closer might be able to sort through them for potential Tufted Duck.

Stopped by Sorenson Pond in Ellensburg on the way home (corner of Tjossem and Berry Rd) and had a nice mixture of both Canada and Cackling Geese. Was hoping for other geese species, but no luck.

A good morning.
