I've seen Northern Pygmy Owls in subalpine and the subalpine/alpine zone
margins near the Central Cascade crest (and a bit E and W thereof). Also,
per my observations, Barred Owls seem to be moving higher. This summer I've
seen two Barred Owls in subalpine zones in the Central Cascades (near
crest).
